Chairman's contemplations

I'm happy to say, quite a few people have contacted me saying they like the new format. If you know of someone not getting the emails please let me know, and tell them to make sure eupdate@sussexmagiccircle.co.uk is in their approved list to make sure it's not considered spam. I was aware that the first email wasn't personalised, hopefully this time it's fixed.
Also just a quick note of thanks to Gordon as the programme of events for the upcoming year is rather fabulous, you'll find out more at the AGM.

March 12 - Blackpool Showtime
Andy Chase is organising this evening of entertainment themed "What we saw at the Blackpool Convention". This will be a light hearted evening of fun. Secrets may be revealed.

Annual dinner

Not long now
The annual dinner is only a few weeks away, if you haven't told me you want to come then assume I don't know. Let me know as soon as you can if you'd like to attend. The cabaret acts are confirmed and are of a fabulous calibre, you really don't want to miss this.

George needs advice
George Smith dropped me a line asking for a little advice, he's been asked to 45 minute magicy workshop for kids some of whom are deaf. If you have any routines or suggestions please give George a call on 07840 156091.

Don't forget that once you've logged into the members area of the SMC site there's loads more other features you can play with. You can update your address, advertise something for sale, view the library book list, download posters and download a SMC members address list. If you want other features let me know.

Ali Bongo
Regrettably Ali Bongo sadly passed away early Sunday 8th March 2009. He was magical inspiration to us all and will be greatly missed. See at great tribute here.

Shaun O' Donoghue
Unfortunately Shaun has lost his battle with cancer. For those of you who didn't know Shaun he was one of the founder members of the Southdowns and served as Treasurer for 25 years. I must say he was such a nice gentleman and faced his illness with great courage.
The funeral arrrangements:
Date: Wednesday, 18th March at 12 noon
Venue: Our Lady of Consolation Catholic Church, Park Lane, West Grinstead.
