Useful information for our lecturers.

Information regarding lecturing at The Sussex Magic Circle, here are a few details which hopefully may be of use. All payment are made via PayPal or Bank Transfer at the end of the evening.

About the evening

Meetings begin at 20:00, a few parish notices may be given, you can expect to begin around 20:10 at the latest.
We have a 15/20 min break half way through the evening around 21:00 but only when convenient for you to stop.
We aim to finish at around 10pm, which allows 30 minutes for your sales etc, we must be out by 23:00.
We have a paid-up membership of around 39, and typically get good turnouts for lectures. We promote all lectures at other local clubs and online.
Our membership is split between: 14 professionals, 9 semi-professionals and 16 amateurs, of all ages.
We can provide close-up cameras and projectors if needed, but you must let us know well in advance.

About the venue

We meet in the function room of:

(On the car park of the Hassocks train station)
Hassocks
West Sussex
BN6 8HN

The venue is right next to Hassocks Station (30 seconds walk).
It is a great venue with a flexible seating arrangement.
We have a raised stage which can be used, however it is quite high.
There is easy access and parking.
There is a bar for food and refreshments.
The direct train line to London Bridge takes around 1 hour, trains depart at 22:43, 23:19 with last train 23:47 (times may change).
